2008 Grant Proposal Details
Total: $2000 Description: Portable document cameras are an established technology that can replace the overhead projector. The cameras are equipped with LED light modules and flexible goosenecks that make positioning the cameras easy and convenient. It shows images very clearly. Document cameras can be used with any document or object. Why is this important? The document camera gives the teacher much more flexibility in the classroom, and can write and show information on any kind of paper or other material. Who will be served? All students at Howard. How will this be evaluated? The teacher will gauge student response to this new technology. Another advantage is that document cameras are in use in many classrooms and their effectiveness and cost-efficiency have been well-established. Does this build on existing programs? This is an extension of the ongoing effort to use appropriate technology to increase effectiveness in the classroom. Budget: 6 AverVision document cameras, $350 each. Proposal #: 52 |
