A Community Asset

Schools are a community asset, and a reflection of our town.

Excellent schools are a key reason we moved to Eugene.  It was in 1993, before we had children, yet we knew the school system was a good fit for us.

Dana Siebert and Anne Marie Levis, 2008 Annual Campaign chairs,
with their sons Dylan and Connor. Dana is COO of Chambers
Communications, and Anne Marie is President of Funk/Levis &
Associates.

We’ve been strong supporters all along.  In 2002 Dana served as campaign chair, with Jenny Ulum, for the Yes For Schools bond effort.  Thanks to voters, the district now has four new schools that are built to last, are designed for technology, and consume only half as much energy as the buildings they replaced.

Today we have two sons in 4J’s French immersion program.  Anne Marie is now serving a third year on Charlemagne Elementary’s site-council.

We see in our sons’ school how EEF helps, with recent grants providing new books, iPods for literacy, and computer software.  So when past Annual Campaign chair Sarah Bascom asked if we would support District 4J schools by heading up the 2008 effort, it was easy to say yes.

What an opportunity, to live where a single gift to the foundation reaches all schools in the district.  Please join us in making a gift today!
